TT Electronics
http://www.ttelectronics.com/Sometimes you can do pitch work that, even if it's well-liked and you win the job, is a million miles from the end result. This was one of those projects where the designs we did at the pitch stage happened to be so on-the-money that they ended up being the basis of final site.
This was also the rare occurrence of a website design that formed the foundation of brand/literature guidelines (rather than the other way around) for all of TT's sister companies.
Mark Fry
http://www.markfrymusic.com/When you put together distinctive work like Chromazone, it's amazing how people that you wouldn't expect seek you out.
Mark Fry is a folk singer-songwriter and painter, who had waited 30 years before recording a follow-up to his debut album. We were asked to design the album artwork and website. Nick Pugh (Creative Director) handled the design - I built the Flash site and wrestled with MySpace.
Fin CMS
Fin is The Roundhouse's very own CMS. Having played with a variety of Content Managment products over the year - from enterprise-scale to minor-league, it's nice to be able to have one that you can adapt and improve yourself.
Props to Paul, Mike and Gav for building and maintaining the thing, and for tolerating my constant "wouldn't it be nice if?" feature suggestions.
Cranfield University
http://www.cranfield.ac.ukProbably the largest-scale job I've worked on. The Roundhouse was commissioned to overhaul the University's visual identity and rebuild its website.
The existing website had around 285,000 pages, so rebuilding it wasn't a small task. We created a web steering committee that brought the various web stakeholders together and I led them through a scoping, CMS procurement and design process. We then worked directly with their IT guys to pull the site together.
Since we passed ownership of the site to the Cranfield IT team, they've done a great job of rolling out the look and feel to new sections and keeping the whole thing looking smart.
